The Female Orgasm
THE BIG "O"
An orgasm is an exquisitely pleasurable building sensation which for some starts in the hands, fingers, toes, tummy, legs, nipples, … etc. The sensation can come and go, but each time growing more and more pleasurable, the breathe can quicken, the heart may start beating faster, the vagina gets wetter, blood rushes to the genitals, and the clitoris becomes erect then the vagina explodes in a dizzying series of involuntary muscle contractions. These contractions can be localised in the vagina or can spread all over the body and can last between 20 seconds and 2 minutes.

As arousal increases, your heart rate can double and blood pressure increases. As you approach orgasm, the muscles may twitch or spasm. Many have described it as rhythmic muscle contractions or spasms in the vagina. The feel-good hormone Oxytocin floods the body, Oxytocin (Love / Cuddle Hormone) is the hormone that creates a sense of strong social bonding, this is why sex is so intimate and the feeling generated in the act creates a powerful attraction for you & your partner.

While vaginal orgasms are less common than those from clitoral stimulation, some people have had them. Of the reports done on the female orgasm its been noted that a small minority have orgasmed through vaginal intercourse, ranging from 6% ~ 24%. Vaginal orgasms are uncommon because the more prominent pleasurable nerve endings are closer to the entrance of the vagina.
In one survey, volunteers were asked to describe the sensations they experienced during an orgasm, and doctors were unable to distinguish men's answers from women's.
Different Types of Stimulation
Oral Sex
Oral sex ranks as the most requested by both women and men. For most women, clitoral stimulation is what makes it or breaks it to achieve climax. The strokes can be up-and-down, side-to-side, circular, even tapping. Gentle pressure is usually preferred to heavy, and over-stimulation will lead to over sensitisation of the clitoris and sometimes pain. Many women have found that one side of their clitoris or labia is more sensitive than the other, for most its the right-side that is more sensitive.

Consistency in what you are doing is important, especially when building up anticipation. To build anticipation it’s recommended to move in a rhythmic motion then stop, then continue this until climax.
Also, remember the average time for a female to reach orgasm is between 10 – 20 mins which is much longer than the average male… patience is quintessential.

The G-Spot
The G spot is part of your clitoral network. This means that when you’re stimulating the G spot, you’re actually stimulating part of the clitoris. The pea-sized nub where the labia minora (inner labia) meets, is actually only the tip of the clitoris and divides into two “roots” that can be about four inches long. This region can vary from woman to woman which explains why it can often be difficult to locate, it is typically about 50 to 80 mm (2 to 3 in) inside the vagina, on the front wall.
Once it’s stimulated the G spot can cause female ejaculation and help women reach orgasm (note that ejaculation does not mean orgasm).
Using your fingers or a toy, lift upward toward your belly button in a “come hither” motion. Remember, you’re not trying to hit a specific spot but rather a general region. The sensation will build, you’ll want to keep focusing your attention on this area. It’s important to remember that not everyone finds satisfaction through G-spot stimulation, there are so many other pleasurable areas to stimulate. Also, remember the average time for a female to reach orgasm is between 10 – 20 mins which is much longer than the average male… patience is quintessential.
Mental Pleasure
As well as clitoral and vaginal stimulation, it is important to remember that everything starts in your mind. Let go of any preconceived notions about masturbation or orgasms’ being taboo. An orgasm is beneficial to your health, the majority of men report that one of the greatest sexual thrills is making or seeing a woman orgasm.
The best way to mentally pleasure yourself is to be comfortable! Slip-on a pair of your comfy pyjamas, unhook your bra, light some candles and get some music going. Going into any sexual encounter feeling unhinged or uncomfortable will make it hard to let yourself be vulnerable to your own sexual desires or your partners.
